Not to over simplify things too much, but as long as nine tenths of the national wealth is owned by one tenth of the population and we have a government and "financial sector" that believes that we can all exist by selling each other insurance policies then the system will never work. There are enough economists in this country to stick them all in a room and come up with something better than we have. Its a twelfth century flea market.
