To All
The resin is curing and the paint is drying again, must be spring tra la la !
Much of my primer is actually flying around in the atmosphere, adding to the problems being caused by that volcanic ash cloud. No wonder Bristol Airport is flying nothing more than a kite today. :)
I don't much enjoy sanding - but it has to be done. Thing is, every time I put some paint on I find another little ding that I am not happy with. Feels like I am going around in circles - but it's starting to feel glassy at last.
The pics I took are boring so I am leaving it until I've got something worthwhile to show you. Nobody really needs to see how to paint a Tender Behind, do they?

We're a bit lucky in that in our climate the epoxy and the paint both cure well all year around. The worst that can happen is that on a frosty morning one has to wait until midday before getting on with it, and thats no chore.
Even though its autumn here, the winters are not really hard so its no worry, the workshop is in the midst of a major cleanup and I'll be boatbuilding again very soon.
But I'm looking forward to seeing that Tender Behind paintjob Mike, so far she is looking great and in spite of the grumbling I'm betting that you are pleased.

You know I would much rather be in NZ than here but there ain't really enough time left for me to enjoy moving that far away. If Jeannette wins Lotto so that I can pay someone else to pack us up and arrange the move, and provided I can travel by ship rather than by air, I would be there chatting with you face to face before you could say 'Pilgrim with Cabin'. ;)

Sherry chose Ivory for the most part and Rustic Red for the flashes between those quarter badges. Should look really nice, methinks, but patience my good friend. I will get there in the end. I'm working on the inside of the hull this weekend but off to BRI on Monday for some 'exploration' adventures.
Best wishes
Just got out of hospital on day 6 (about 4days early), after they pulled all tubes, and staples. Got no strength, eating slurpies and allowed one dark ale a day. Wife is dog walking me periodically. But with no muscles in the front the baack gets real sore, and I have to take break after 5minutes. Will know more on the success in 3weeks. I hate hospitals, my neighbor (Fred) in the bed beside mine, died on day 3, and a ghost with humor would come up to me while I'm reading, and say BOO in my ear and then giggle. Guess she liked the way I would jump.
Knew that the sooner I moved around, the sooner I could leave, walked on day 2. No working on boat for weeks for me though, and I can't get to island since I or NJ can pull the cord on the motor on the other boat, takes too much. Not sure what to do about that one, but it will be a month before I can drive.

Great news to hear you are back out of that awful place - with your sense of humour intact. I agree absolutely about hospitals. They are morbid and there is a general atmosphere in 'em of fear and pain that permeates every nook and cranny. Getting out as soon as possible is the first step to making a recovery, so well done that man in achieving such a rapid escape! :approval:
Now take it easy and gently mate. Let Mrs Clip take you 'walkies' and get your strength back slowly. Softly, softly, catchee monkey.
I am so pleased to know you are still well and kicking. We're all with you over here, Peter, and hope to hear again in 3 weeks that all is well and you can make it to that longevity goal you mentioned.
Kindest regards

Take care of yourself Pete they are not making replacements for you any more. I wish you a short and sucessful stay in the BRI Mike, you could be in worst hospitals (if you have to be in one).

You're right again about the BRI. Excellent treatment. Still don't like being in any hospital - creepy places. The consultant in my matter flies his own light aircraft and has a share in an old Chipmunk. Top fellow, so I shall leave it to him to say what's right - or wrong, as the case may be. He's the skipper on this trip and I the passenger along for the ride. :)
