Just to keep a promise, I thought I'd let you know that I am advertising some of my stuff on eBay.
Please note that the best item I have for auction is my Lie-Nielsen No.62 Low Angle Jack Plane. It has already attracted a lot of attention - more than 30 watchers and six bids already. If you want to have a look, click here (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=250610612622&ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT).
To see the other items, just click on 'See Other Items' on the linked eBay page. Please note that I DO NOT recommend the Anant circular plane. Jamie got it for me at a good price and I gave it a quick go. No doubt it could be tuned up to do a half decent job but I am not inclined to spend time doing that when I have suitable alternatives.
The oak I am selling is NOT suitable for boatbuilding in that it is old and very dry, so it won't do for steam bending. It is, however, highly suitable for fine furniture. I suppose one could use it for fitting out but I plan to use my Brazilian Mahogany for that job. It's already tipped over the reserve price, so there are obviously others out there who can see how good it is for making fine, stable, furniture.
Don't laugh at me selling that cement mixer, guys! I assure you that it did a great job in my laying that concrete floor to the shelter but I am just too old and infirm now for that kind of energy-sapping work. :grandpa: Next time, if there ever is a next time, I will be putting in the formwork and phoning Readymix Concrete. He heh.
Best wishes
